A work-in-progress of my personal project – an old toolbox transformed into a DIY boombox with custom dynamics and controls built in. This piece was designed to showcase my skills in both concepting and execution.
Almost every part of the model was created in Fusion 360, with detailed high-poly sculpting done in ZBrush. The low-poly model was made in Maya, and the UVs were laid out using UDIMs for optimal texel density. I then baked the details in Marmoset to preserve the high-quality details in the final low-poly version.
This project is a fantastic opportunity for me to hone my skills in material creation and refine my pipeline from concept to final model. It’s a great exercise in working with different materials and understanding how to create them for the best visual result.
